The Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Alex Obiogbolu, has said that the second term of Charles Chukwuma Soludo is the natural outcome of the governor’s outstanding performance in office.
Dr. Obiogbolu, a frontline senatorial hopeful for Anambra North Senatorial District, made the remark while speaking with journalists at Dr Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, shortly after the inauguration ceremony.
According to him, Governor Soludo has proven to be a blessing to Anambra State, noting that the administration has recorded significant progress across key sectors without borrowing a dime.
He observed that the governor has made history by positively impacting virtually every sector of the state’s economy and governance.
The Political Adviser added that under Soludo’s leadership, Anambra has continued to live up to its reputation as the “Light of the Nation.”
“Honestly, time and space will not permit me to enumerate all the outstanding projects Governor Soludo delivered during his first term. His achievements span critical areas such as infrastructure and human capital development,” Obiogbolu said.
He noted that over 5,000 teachers were recruited to strengthen public schools across the state, alongside the introduction of free education from primary to secondary school levels.
Dr. Obiogbolu further highlighted that health workers were also employed to serve in state-owned hospitals and primary healthcare centres in communities across Anambra.
“In addition, the governor introduced free antenatal care and free delivery services in public health facilities across the state. Workers receive their salaries promptly, while the One Youth, Two Skills initiative has empowered about 8,000 youths in Anambra and among residents alike,” he said.
He also pointed out that many communities previously considered inaccessible have now been opened up through the governor’s Five Star Road Construction Initiative, which has delivered roads across various parts of the state.
“We can go on and on talking about the benefits delivered to Ndi Anambra in just four years,” he added.
The senatorial aspirant particularly commended Governor Soludo for assembling a dedicated Executive Council made up of individuals who are deeply committed to the growth and development of the state.
Dr. Obiogbolu expressed confidence that Governor Soludo’s second term would focus on consolidating the gains already recorded and advancing the state’s development even further.
