Anambra Election: How Ukachukwu's Men Failed Woefully In Ojoto, Oba

RAYMOND OZOJI reports

Investigations into the conduct of the just concluded Anambra governorship election in Idemili-South Local Government Area of the state have revealed that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) swept all the 12 wards and 241 out of the 243 polling units in the council area.

Chairman of Idemili-South Local Government Area Hon. Dr. Mrs. Amaka Obi, who spoke to this journalist exclusively, said despite efforts to thwart the electoral process by elements of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the will of the people prevailed and the votes cast were secured and protected from marauding elements loyal to the APC candidate Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu.

She said some of Ukachukwu's men who are indigenes of Ojoto and Oba respectively employed every means possible to feather their own nest but the people stood their grounds resisting every attempts to destabilize the process.

She said despite all the catastrophic attempts to foil the electoral process in Oba and Ojoto, Ukachukwu's men still lost in their polling units at Oganiru Primary School (1) Ojoto 005 and polling unit 006 Okuzu Mbana Hall Oba ward one.

The council Mayor who has already congratulated Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo on his resounding victory at the just concluded governorship election, maintained that Idemili-South indeed played a crucial role in the electoral battle.

Her statement reads: " Congratulations to our visionary leader, His Excellency Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, on your resounding victory in the November 8, 2025 Anambra State Governorship Election.

It's a well deserved victory and the overwhelming support from Idemili South, delivering an impressive 241 out of 243 polling units, is a powerful testament to your outstanding leadership, transformative governance, and the trust the people have in your Renewed Anambra Vision.

Your dedication to good governance, innovation, and grassroots development continues to inspire hope and unity across the state.

Anambra clearly made their choice, embracing solution, consolidation and progressivism.

May this victory further strengthen your resolve to build a prosperous, peaceful, and progressive Anambra for all."
