RAYMOND OZOJI reports
Dr. Nelson Obinna Omenugha, the newly appointed Special Adviser on Youth Reformation to Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR, says he is set to change the narratives as well as redefine the story of the Anambra youth.
Omenugha who served as Special Adviser on Youth Empowerment Programmes in Governor Soludo's first term, has equally assured citizens especially the youth population that his new appointment would spur him to initiating more youth development programmes to redirect and rechannel the minds of young people towards meaningful exploits.
Omenugha who gave a hint of his work plan in his message of gratitude and appreciation to the governor for his new appointment, also assured the governor that he would not fall short of his expectations in his new assignment because he is a youth crusader.
His message reads, " On Tuesday, July 28, Mr Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR graciously appointed me his Special Adviser on Youth Reformation. I accept this responsibility with profound gratitude, deep humility, and a renewed sense of purpose.
I am sincerely grateful to Mr Governor & his dear wife, Dr Nonye Soludo for this honour and the confidence they have reposed in me once again to serve our dear state. This appointment is not merely a privilege; it is a sacred responsibility to contribute meaningfully to the Governor’s bold vision of building a livable and prosperous homeland under Solution 2.0.
Mr Governor has consistently demonstrated that sustainable development is not only about infrastructure and economic growth but also about people, character, values, and responsible citizenship. His spirited commitment to social reorientation and value rebirth provides a strong foundation upon which we must collectively raise a generation of resilient, responsible, productive, and globally competitive Anambra youths.
I also wish to express my heartfelt appreciation to everyone who has called, sent messages, prayed, and celebrated this appointment with me. The overwhelming goodwill, encouragement, and confidence have been deeply humbling. I do not take the love and support for granted.
As I assume this important responsibility, I recognise that youth reformation is a collective assignment. Government alone cannot achieve it. I therefore invite parents, traditional rulers, religious leaders, educational institutions, the private sector, civil society organisations, development partners, the media, youth groups, and every well-meaning Anambra son and daughter to partner with us. Together, we can inspire a new culture of integrity, discipline, innovation, enterprise, service, and responsible leadership among our young people.
To the youths of Anambra State, I come with hope, optimism, and an open heart. Mr Governor believes in your immense potential, your creativity, your resilience, and your capacity to shape a brighter future for yourselves and for our state. Let us work together to redefine the story of the Anambra youth and build a generation that competes confidently on the global stage while remaining firmly rooted in our enduring values.
With God on our side, the support of Ndi Anambra, and the visionary leadership of Governor Soludo, I am confident that we will deliver on this mandate and make a lasting impact."
