Frontline socio-political group known as APGA Apostles Forum comprising great achievers from different walks of life have resolved to ensure that all the candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in next year's general elections win their respective elective positions.
This resolution was the crux of the matter at the 3rd year anniversary celebration of the group cum unveiling of the roadmap for the 2027 general elections held in Awka.
The group amongst numerous other consequential issues maintained that it would ensure that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) win the three senatorial seats, the eleven House of Representatives seats as well as the thirty House of Assembly seats in the state as they target to garner over two million votes for APGA.
National convener of APGA Apostles Forum, Chief Nchekwube Anthony Chinedu (Dunga) during his speech recalled with hindsight that the group has in the last three years propagated the ideals of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, penetrating the three hundred and twenty-six political wards and five thousand, seven hundred and twenty polling units across the state.
Dunga who noted that the journey has not been easy in the last three years, stressed that APGA Apostles Forum is a result-oriented group and it is poised to ensure that APGA doesn't lose any seat in the forthcoming national and state assembly elections because APGA Apostles, according to him, has set up structures in the grassroots to ensure that victory is achieved for APGA.
Meanwhile national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, who was represented on the occasion by his deputy chief of staff, Barr. Chekwube Ezeike, described the theme of the APGA Apostles' third year anniversary celebration which is " Disruptive Solution For Ndi-Anambra" as very apt and timely considering where the state is headed.
The APGA national chairman noted that the theme suggested that it is no more politics as usual because disruptive solution for Ndi-Anambra implied that the party should be ready to disrupt every obstacle that would stop APGA from winning the 326 political wards in the state, stressing that it is not impossible to achieve because the party has done it before.
He said that the three years journey of the APGA Apostles Forum would be incomplete without acknowledging the innovative and transformative leadership Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo brought to Anambra State as it concern security structures, digital reforms amongst others coupled with his vision 2070 development agenda for generations yet unborn.
One of the strongholds of the APGA Apostles Forum, Chief Chika Ibeneme, who spoke extensively on the three years journey of the group, said that there were thorns on the way but they jumped and passed them through resilience, steadfastness and undiluted focus on their goals.
Ibeneme who spoke on several issues bordering on the modus operandi of APGA Apostles Forum in the last three years, emphasized that this time around the group is determined to go extra miles to get things done in favour of APGA.
The APGA Apostles chieftain who maintained that noting good comes easy, expressed profound gratitude to all the members of APGA Apostles, the council of patrons, the coordinators and other stakeholders for their support and belief in the group in spite of challenges, which he said they surmounted with intrepidity.
He therefore charged APGA members on the occasion to go back to their respective wards and begin grassroots mobilisations because APGA, according to him, must win the eleven House of Representatives seats, thirty House of Assembly seats and the three senatorial seats in the state in the upcoming elections.
Guest speaker on the occasion, who is also the Director of Planning and Strategy for the APGA Apostles Forum, Hon. Emeka Ozumba, whose lecture was titled " APGA Apostles Reclaim The Grassroots And Win 2027 Elections" amongst numerous other recommendations, suggested that the group should ensure functional APGA structures in the 326 political wards of the state.
Ozumba equally disclosed that APGA Apostles Forum have enacted ten strategic pillars that would drive the process towards electoral conquest for the All Progressives Grand Alliance which he said include grassroots mobilisations and sensitisation, political education and reorientation, election support structures and a host of others.
Also the Anambra state coordinator of the APGA Apostles Forum, who is the incumbent Executive Chairman of Onitsha-North Local Government Area as well as candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for Onitsha-North and South federal constituency election next year, Chief Tony Nweze Nwora, in his brief remarks on the occasion, noted that the group has an enormous task for before it.
Nwora who charged every member of the APGA Apostles Forum to deliver their polling units for APGA in the incoming elections, stressed the need to surpass the targeted 2.1 million votes for the party because he believes that the group has the strength and spread to win the August 29 Local Government Elections in the state as well as next year's national assembly elections.
Highpoints of the APGA Apostles 3rd year anniversary celebration were acrobatic cultural dance display, music performance and cutting of the anniversary cake.
