Anambra Poll: Ike Cubana, Youths Debunk APC's Claim Of Oba Community Plotting Soludo's Defeat

RAYMOND OZOJI reports

Contrary to claims by the All Progressives Congress (APC) media team that Oba community in Idemili-South Local Government Area of the state will ensure that Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), lost in Oba over the prolonged detention of their multi-millionaire native doctor brother popularly known as Akwa-Okuko.

The APC media team claimed that Oba youths have resolved that Soludo won't win the election in Oba because their brother Akwa-Okuko can not be in detention and they would be voting for him, that the governor must lose in Oba because of his refusal to heed their pleas for Akwa-Okuko to regain his freedom.

But Ikenna Iyiegbu (Ike-Cubana) an illustrious son of Oba community and also a House of Representatives hopeful, who debunked the claims alongside Oba youth president, told this journalist exclusively that Oba youths and the entire Oba community were not part of such propaganda because Oba people, according to him, were solidly and unflinchingly behind Soludo's reelection.

Iyiegbu noted that people were only using Akwa-Okuko to create social media contents inorder to attract traffic to their pages. He said people should allow government do their job and not evoking unnecessary emotional blackmail his detention.

Iyiegbu therefore maintained that Oba youths were solidly with the governor and his deputy 100% and that no amount of sensational write-ups will change the decision of Oba youths and Oba community to vote Soludo massively on November 8th this year.

Meanwhile Oba youth president Hon. Ebuka Chibueze, also told this journalist that Oba youths were not part of such negative propaganda against Governor Soludo rather Oba youths are with him.

Chibueze who described such claims as rubbish and baseless fabrications, maintained that Oba youths have nothing to do with such malignancy and they are entirely united for the Soludo-Ibezim re-election mandate, stressing that APC and other opposition political parties have no business with Oba community.
