The Managing Director of the Anambra State Civic and Social Reformation Office (ANCISRO) Sir Chuka Nnabuife says the agency is fully charged for her first anniversary scheduled for September 1st this year.
Nnabuife who spoke to this journalist exclusively in his office at the Government House Awka about ANCISRO's maiden anniversary, recalled that Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo established the agency on 1st September last year with a mandate on value reorientation, sensitization and public enlightenments on what promotes the Anambra brand.
He said all roads therefore lead to ANCISRO's office near ASWAMA office old Government House Awka on Monday 1st September, 2025 for the celebration and success stories of the organization in the last one year.
Speaking further, Nnabuife said ANCISRO would be celebrating three major achievements. He said the agency would be celebrating success thereby telling the world that Anambra is succeeding. That they will also celebrate the establishment of a solution providing civic society organization by the governor of Anambra State Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo and also celebrate the Anambra person.
According to him, ANCISRO played very pivotal role in ensuring that voters turned out massively to exercise their civic responsibilities in the August 16th Anambra-South senatorial and Onitsha-North 1 State Constituency by-elections in the state.
He said there was reduction in voter apathy because ANCISRO intensified campaigns and sensitizations on the need for people to exercise their franchise and be part of the new Anambra championed by the Soludo administration.
He said ANCISRO will do more to ensure that citizens participated actively in the November 8th governorship election as witnessed in the massive turnout of voters in the recently concluded by-elections in the state.
Nnabuife also stated that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) commended Anambra State for the large turnout during the Continuous Voter Registration exercise before the August 16th by-elections, stressing that ANCISRO played critical role through her public enlightenments in ensuring that citizens participated in the exercise to obtain their voters' cards.
He said within the last one year, ANCISRO has been involved in intellectual interventions through writings, radio and television appearances, blogs and podcasts, articles and so on, adding that they have also done sensitization films and intervention films on the developments and values of Ndi-Anambra.
The ANCISRO boss who stated that they were equally active on all social media platforms, said the agency has carried out public lectures targeted at youths and youngsters as well as men and women aimed at attitudinal change and value reorientation.
