The major attribute of a great leader after innovative ability is selflessness. Today, as a Minister of Works, Senator Engr. Umahi has shown capacity and selflessness in his duty as one of the Ministers from the South East region.
Senator David Umahi is not a bench warmer in the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meetings. While he contributes to the development of Nigeria at large, Engr. Dave Umahi never forget to lobby for his zone to be remembered in the distribution of infrastructural development.
Engr. Dave Umahi represents Ebonyi State in the Federal Executive Council. But his selflessness has made him to carry the whole old Eastern Region as his people.
The road network construction ongoing in the region now had never been witnessed since 1999. The South East region has had other ministers from the zone including Minister of: Finance, Aviation, Power and many others. But none had gotten the capacity to lobby development from their respective ministry to the South East region as Engr. Dave Umahi is doing at the moment.
The secret of these successes is because Senator Umahi is a Leader.
A leader must have the capacity to convince and lobby others. A leader does not claim to know it all, and the more reason people believe in him.
The undisputable Leader of the South East, Engr Umahi is not desperate to be recognized. He is always ready to make sacrifice, provided such sacrifice is to the good of his people.
Engr. David Umahi plans, strategize, negotiate and hit the target. He does not allow the euphoria of the office to distract his attention from the ball. Infact, his eyes are always on ball.
The old Eastern Region had never gotten it so good like this. And we must all work and support him as the starboy of the region .
