Frontline contender for the Aguata 2 constituency seat in next year's House of Assembly elections, Arc. Okonkwo Chukwuka Williams, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of OC Bravo Global Impress, has received the blessings and endorsement of the traditional ruler of Aguluezechukwu community, His Royal Highness Igwe Felix Eberendu Igwe Nnayelugo of Aguluezechukwu.
Okonkwo who was in his palace on Sunday to officially notify the monarch of his ambition, explained in details why Aguata-North needed to get it right in the incoming 9th legislature. He therefore appealed to Igwe Nnayelugo and his cabinet members to support his quest to represent Aguata 2 constituency especially as Aguluezechukwu is the only community in Aguata-North that hasn't produced a House member for the constituency.
Endorsing his ambition, Igwe Nnayelugo stated categorically that OC Bravo has his total and unflinching support as he would galvanise the people in his favour to ensure that he is victorious at the primaries and beyond.
Also in a similar endorsement move, stakeholders of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Ezinifite ward 1 and ward 2 have unanimously assured Arc. Okonkwo Chukwuka Williams that there is no cause for alarm because they will all queue behind him in the Option A4 election model.
Chief Fred Okeke of Ezinifite ward 1 and former APGA chairman of Aguata LGA, who served for 15 years, said he was happy that Aguata-North has got a suitable replacement for the incumbent.
Okeke therefore assured Arc. Okonkwo Chukwuka Williams that they would support and stand by him to ensure that he is victorious at the forthcoming APGA primaries to enable him emerge as the APGA candidate for Aguata 2 constituency election next year.
Another critical stakeholder in Ezinifite ward 1, Hon. Humphrey Okwonna Nwakibia, said they have been deceived by promise and fail politicians for too long but expressed belief that Arc. Okonkwo Chukwuka Williams will change the status quo.
Okwonna maintained that they would mobilise the entire Ezinifite ward 1 and ward 2 for OC Bravo because they see him as a more trustworthy person.
Meanwhile Ositadimma Ezenwanne, an APGA stalwart of Ezinifite ward 2, in his remarks, assured Arc. Okonkwo Chukwuka Williams that they will vote him at the forthcoming APGA primaries and also ensure that his ambition to represent Aguata 2 constituency come to pass because according to him, they are tired of being deceived by selfish politicians.
OC Bravo while appreciating the APGA stakeholders of Ezinifite community, thanked them immensely for the confidence and trust reposed in him, adding that Aguata-North will witness a new era of representation, if given the mandate.
