It was an assemblage of who is who in Anambra Central senatorial zone and beyond at All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Zonal Office in Awka as Dozie Nwankwo declared his intention to represent the zone at the red chamber of the National Assembly on Tuesday.
Supporters of the senatorial aspirant started trooping into the expansive APGA office as early as 12noon to wait for their hero.
The former House of Representatives member was warmly received by the Anambra State Chairman of APGA, Barr Ifeatu Obiokoye and his team of executive council.
Dozie Nwankwo immediately he arrived the party Secretariat went into a meeting with APGA Executive Council in Anambra State while his teaming supporters kept the environment aglow with singing and dancing.
In a chat with journalists after the meeting, the senatorial hopeful for Anambra Central district said he visited the Party House for consultations about his aspiration.
"We are party in power, our party is grassroot oriented and that's why I have come to inform and consult with the party's leadership about my intension to represent Anambra Central at the Senate. I am a former member of House of Representatives.
"It's a contest.and I am in the race for the good and betterment of Anambra Central, whatever step we want to take must begin from here.," he said.
Dozie Nwankwo who promised to give his constituents a quality representation at the red chamber of the National Assembly asserted that he would key into the program of Gov Charles Soludo, who he described as a Working Governor.
"I will support Gov Soludo with legislation from Abuja, in the area of fighting insecurity with technology, youths empowerment, and policies that will make us live in peace as a nation especially in Anambra Central will also be part of my legislative agenda," he said.
