Ahead the 2027 National Assembly elections, Chief Barr. Johnmary Akachukwu Maduakolam PhD has declared his intention to represent the people of Ihiala federal constituency in the House of Representatives.
Barr Maduakolam in a press statement informed the leaders, stakeholders, youths, mothers, sons and daughters of Ihiala, that he is one of them.
The House of Representatives aspirant is contesting on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
He declared emphatically that he is a proud son of Ihiala LGA who was shaped by the same struggles, witnessed the same neglect, and was driven by the same unyielding hope.
Barr Maduakolam said as a matter of fact that, "We have seen enough to know that what we have today does not reflect the true destiny of our people.
"This is not a Routine Declaration. This is resistance. For too long, our constituency has been weakened by absent leadership and ineffective representation.
"For too long, our people have been remembered only during elections and forgotten immediately after. We have waited, we have endured, but patience must not become surrender. Ihiala deserves leadership that is present, accountable, and committed to real results.
"I have moved across our communities, not for applause, but for understanding. I have listened deeply to the voices of our people. I have heard the frustration of our unemployed youths, the silent strength of mothers holding families together, and the disappointment of elders who expected more from leadership."
The legal luminary however observed that beyond the hardship, he saw a resilient people, full of strength and ready to rise.
"Our mission is clear. We will build Ihiala anchored in a creative economy, accountable leadership, education that transforms, agriculture that creates wealth, and enterprise that drives independence.
"We will not manage failure or tolerate mediocrity. We will confront it and replace it with measurable progress.
"Through my initiatives, such as the JAMIE Program, I have demonstrated that leadership is not about waiting for an office but about taking responsibility. Representation must move beyond symbolism. It must be visible, consistent, and impactful. We will attract federal presence, build strategic partnerships, and position Ihiala where it rightfully belongs.
"Let it be clearly understood that the 2027 election is not just another election. It is a decisive moment. A choice between continued neglect and purposeful leadership. We will no longer reward absence, tolerate excuses, or accept less than we deserve.
"Ndi Ihiala Federal Constituency, this is our moment to reclaim our voice, our power, and our future. I invite you to stand with me, work with me, and walk this journey with me." He asserted.
