A young man has been reportedly killed by a masquerade in Umuduru Uzoakwa Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra state.
A viral video of the ill-fated lad accompanied by the voice note of a concerned individual revealed that the young lad who is not Igbo nor an indigene of Ihiala Local Government Area but a citizen of Cotonu, who lived and worked in Ihiala before his fate, had gone to collect his phone where he was charging it and suddenly ran into a masquerade called Eneke owned by Ogboro community.
From the voice note, youths who were with the said masquerade chased him and unleashed mob action on him even when he ran into people's houses for safety. They allegedly manhandled him using their instruments to panel beat him until he became weak and helpless while the masquerade flogged and hit him ferociously until he was feared dead.
