Operatives of the Anambra State Security Agency known as Agunechemba have allegedly unleashed terror and mayhem on a tricycle driver in Awka, the state capital.
A viral video evidence of the tragedy currently circulating online, showed the Agunechemba operatives used sticks and anything they could lay their hands on to beat the Keke driver like a common criminal for refusing to give them N200 bribe at Y junction Okpuno Awka where the security operatives caused unhealthy traffic jams with the illegal collections.
It would be recalled that a viral video had shown Agunechemba security operatives beating and molesting a female corps member stripping her naked in a corpers' lodge where the said Agunechemba personnel were allegedly looking for Yahoo boys.
Same Agunechemba operatives had molested a young lady in Awka-North for not wearing bra and leaving her breasts dangling in her dress.
Since the inauguration of the Agunechemba security outfit by Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, citizens are of the view that the advent of the local security outfit has drastically reduced crime especially in the rural areas but the modus operandi calls for concern.
A concerned citizen noted that the tragic incident involving a Keke driver and Agunechemba operatives at Y junction Okpuno Awka was one out of the many toll gates the security operatives opened to collect N200 from commercial vehicles and Keke operators.
The concerned citizen who didn't want his name in print said Eke-Abatete roundabout and Ideani junction were some of the places Agunechemba operatives forced motorists to pay N200 or more or they have their vehicles delayed until they "settled".
When contacted to speak on the assault Agunechemba operatives unleashed on the Keke driver, the Public Relations Officer of Agunechemba security outfit, Mr. Nweke Nweke didn't respond to calls from this journalist as at the time of writing this report.
