Following security concerns in Umuezeawara community and its environs in Ihiala Local Government Area, the lawmaker representing Ihiala 1 state constituency in the current 8th legislature of Anambra State, Hon. Jude Chimezie Ngobili, has attracted Forward Operations Base (FOB) to forestall security breaches in the area.
Ngobili who is the Chief Whip of the 8th legislature, told this journalist at the state assembly complex Awka yesterday that he had to intervene because he got security reports that his constituents in Umuezeawara community needed urgent rescue from criminal elements disturbing the area.
He said he made a formal complaint to the appropriate authorities and the FOB joint security base comprising the Army, Police and other security operatives was setup in Umuezeawara community, serving as a source of protection and relief for the people.
Ngobili who emphasized that he is very passionate about the welfare and well-being of his constituents in Ihiala 1, told this journalist that the coming of the FOB in Umuezeawara community will also help to address security concerns in the community and her neighbours.
He said that the security situation has improved significantly in Ihiala when compared to the past.
