No More Gunshots In Ihiala -- Agbodike

House of Representatives member representing Ihiala federal constituency at the green chambers of the National Assembly, Dr. Paschal Agbodike says there are no more gunshots from security agencies or hoodlums in Ihiala Local Government Area especially in Ebonesie zone. 


Agbodike who stated this during an exclusive interview with this journalist, maintained that there is a tranquil atmosphere at the moment in Ihiala Local Government Area with emphasis on Ebonesie zone as the non-kinetic approach to insecurity approved by Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo and adopted by the Chairman of Air Peace Chief Allen Onyema is yielding positive results in the council area. 


The federal lawmaker who vowed to reconstruct all the infrastructures damaged by hoodlums in Ebonesie zone comprising six communities of Azia, Lilu, Isseke, Osumoghu, Mbosi and Ubuluisiuzo, noted that so many schools were damaged in the aforementioned communities. 


He therefore emphasized that the security situation has improved tremendously in Ihiala with greatest appreciation to Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo as well as Ide Allen Onyema, whose non-kinetic approach to insecurity has brought succour to Ihiala people. 


According to him, the Air Peace chairman, who hails from Mbosi in Ebonesie zone of Ihiala Local Government Area, doled out relief materials worth millions of naira to citizens of Ihiala during the 2025 festive season such that each of the communities in Ebonesie zone got 1000 bags of 50kg rice while the Nigerian Army got over 1,300 bags of 50kg rice too for their commendable efforts in helping to fight insecurity to standstill in Ihiala Local Government Area. 


Agbodike said Chief Allen Onyema pleaded with the governor to grant amnesty to the hoodlums disturbing Ihiala for him to adopt non-kinetic means to win the war against security challenges as well as reintegrate them back into the society, adding that the approach is indeed working wonders in the council area.
