Ihiala Local Government Chapter of Ohaneze-Ndigbo in Anambra State has called on citizens of the council area to come out in their numbers on Saturday August 29th this year to cast their votes for the incumbent council chairman Hon. Engr. Anayochukwu Charles Ojiako and other candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the race.
The pan Igbo socio-cultural group in a statement signed by the chapter chairman Hon.Pst. Azuka Innocent Okolie, acknowledged the giant strides of the incumbent chairman; noting that the APGA-led local government authority in Ihiala has instituted government presence in the area with evidence-based transformative leadership.
The group therefore made a passionate appeal to Ihiala people to vote massively for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and all her candidates in the forthcoming local council elections for the trajectory of good governance to continue and be sustained in Ihiala Local Government Area.
The statement reads, " The Ohaneze Ndigbo Ihiala L.G.A. Chapter, warmly calls on the good people of Ihiala Local Government Area, our respected elders, women, youths and all eligible voters to come together in peace and unity as we approach the Local Government elections.
We believe that leadership should be about service, development, accountability and the genuine welfare of the people. In this spirit, we express our support for Engr. Anayo Ojiako, the APGA flag bearer for Ihiala Local Government Chairmanship, alongside all APGA candidates for the various councillorship positions.
We respectfully encourage our people to support candidates who understand our communities, value our people and are prepared to work for meaningful development at the grassroots. Let us make our votes count for continuity, peace, progress and responsible representation."
