The traditional ruler of Nanka community in Orumba-North Local Government Area of Anambra State, His Royal Highness Igwe Godwin Ogochukwu Ezeilo (Obu Nanka), says Nanka is enjoying unprecedented peace and harmony as his reign has united the entire town.
Igwe Ezeilo who told this journalist exclusively at Ubahu Nanka during the burial ceremony of late Hon. Mrs. Caroline Chinwe Nwafor, that he would be celebrating his 10th year on the throne in January next year, noted that the illustrious sons and daughters of Nanka have continued to advance progress and developments in the community especially with the monumental contributions of some of the indigenes he described as Nanka tigers.
Igwe Ezeilo said that since he ascended the throne in 2017, Nanka community has continued to grow to greater heights as he has been able to galvanise the people towards positive actions for impactful development in the densely populated town.
He told this journalist that Nanka community is blessed with massive government presence. That the community has about three commissioners in Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo's cabinet especially the Commissioner for Works Arch. Okey Ezeobi.
The monarch informed that all the dissidents and dissenters have given peace a chance in the community and that the people are happy because Nanka is witnessing accelerated development in all spheres of human endeavours.
According to the monarch, all lingering issues of disaffections and disharmony have been put to rest such that the community is now united with what he mentioned as 100% peace following the massive supports and encouragements of the Nanka tigers and other illustrious sons and daughters to the throne.
Igwe Ezeilo said he celebrated his 10th New Yam festival and Ofala ceremony on the throne this year and that come January 4th, 2027, he would be celebrating his 10th year in office as the traditional ruler of Nanka community, Orumba-North Local Government Area of the state.
He also disclosed that indigenes of Nanka are fighting tooth and nail to develop their country home; adding that one of the Nanka tigers is currently constructing a 10 kilometer road in the area while another tiger is building a stadium in the community even as another illustrious son of the town has built an ultramodern telemedicine centre for the people of Nanka and Nigerians to have unhindered access to comprehensive medical care at all times.
Apart from the foregoing, Igwe Ezeilo mentioned that another tiger from the community empowers the people with tricycles and other veritable means of livelihoods thereby producing millionaires and conquering poverty in Nanka town.
He equally added that other illustrious and influential individuals in Nanka engaged in educational empowerment and philanthropic programmes where scholarships are awarded to not just indigent children but to children who displayed exceptional intelligence and brilliance in their studies, stressing that Nanka community is known for empowerment and human capital development.
