RAYMOND OZOJI reports
Patrick Aghadinuno Mba, the newly confirmed Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, says Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo will produce more youth millionaires because government, according to him, has planned and packaged a lot of youth development initiatives in order to achieve the aforestated goal.
Mba who was reappointed by Governor Soludo to serve in the same capacity, said that this time his ministry would accelerate youth empowerment schemes and innovations to ensure that more youths are taken off the streets and made millionaires through the One Youth Two Skills Development Initiative and other life-changing programmes targeted at young people which his ministry will roll out soon.
Mba who spoke exclusively to this journalist in Awka, disclosed that government is about to kick-start what he mentioned as the 4-gear speed agenda and that the youth development programmes of the state government under the human capital development objective would be scaled up because the governor, according to him, is intentional about producing more youth millionaires in the state.
The Commissioner recalled that his ministry worked hard to execute some of the governor's policies on youth development and according to him, citizens felt impact of the policies positively. He therefore pointed out that this time his ministry would bring in more strategies so that the aforementioned 4-gear speed agenda would be achieved.
Mba maintained that the governor is raising one thousand youth millionaires annually and he has equally succeeded in building the Silicon Valley of Africa in Anambra State, emphasizing that it is about new ideas, innovation and changing the narrative from what it used to be.
According to him, Governor Soludo has taken youth development to another level such that the state government has a well articulated process that would be followed step by step to produce more youth millionaires through entrepreneurial trainings and mentorships.
Mba who stated that he would revive sports and sporting activities in the state, emphasized Anambra would be the template for other states in Nigeria to develop their sports sectors.
