APGA Primaries: Ihiala Rally Round Paschal Agbodike

RAYMOND OZOJI reports

As the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) primary elections beckon, the incumbent House of Representatives member representing Ihiala federal constituency at the National Assembly Rt. Hon. Paschal Agbodike Ph.D has continued to gather more momentum with the people rallying round him for the May 23rd contest.

This  development isn't a surprise because the people themselves have declared publicly that Agbodike has no challenger and no rival. This consensus opinion is clearly evident in the massive endorsements and votes of confidence passed on him because of his sterling and monumental performance in his first term at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly.

All the towns and political wards in Ihiala Local Government Area have already began the Option A4 primary election model propounded by Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo by rallying round Agbodike because his scorecard speaks volumes for him.

The people have made their positions clear that it is Paschal Agbodike or nothing else. As the Saturday May 23rd APGA primaries approach, Ihiala people have collectively and unanimously decided to return him again because his first outing was a remarkable one.

The people of Ihiala federal constituency have at different fora praised Agbodike's sagacity, gentility and style of representation, describing him as a rare politician who pays attention to his constituents to identify their needs and address them accordingly.

Although Agbodike has promised not to disappoint his constituents if reelected, Ihiala people believe he is a man of his words and doesn't speak from both sides of his mouth. They believe he is a " talk and do" politician unlike some others who have been branded " Promise and Fail " or " Use and Dump" politicians.

Ihiala federal constituents are set to make a bold and emphatic statement on Saturday May 23rd that Rt. Hon. Dr. Paschal Arinzechukwu Agbodike has no challenger and no competitor as far as Ihiala federal constituency seat is concerned. That anyone contemplating to contest with him will eventually bow to him in the end.

As last minutes permutations and consultations deepen, Ihiala people are set to affirmatively prove that the reward for good work is more work. They are prepared to standby the ECOWAS parliamentarian to elect him as the APGA candidate for next year's national assembly elections.
