It was a moment of conviviality, joy and merry-making as journalists, politicians, professors, business moguls and other professionals turned up at the 50th birthday ceremony of the former Deputy Majority Leader of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Chief Emeka Aforka.
Aforka's GRA residence in Agu-Awka was the destination point Sunday night of 23rd November this year as the likes of Rt. Hon. Dr. Paschal Agbodike, the House of Representatives member representing Ihiala federal constituency at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly, former Speaker of the state assembly Rt. Hon. Uche Okafor, former lawmakers, former commissioners and many others, joined Aforka to thank God for his life and achievements and also celebrate his golden age.
Torrents of encomiums rend the air as his friends and associates described him many unique ways, saying Hon. Chief Emeka Aforka a.k.a Nwachinemeze is a bridge builder, an astute administrator and politician and trustworthy ally.
Agbodike, the federal lawmaker representing Ihiala federal constituency said Aforka was his colleague in the state assembly and that he is a very good man as well as a friend of the people. The federal lawmaker said they have done à lot of positive things together for the good of the people.
He therefore prayed to God to grant Aforka more wisdom, wealth and more fruitful years ahead, adding that he is a successful young man and that his 50th year on planet earth is remarkable and worthy of celebration.
Former Speaker of the Anambra State Legislature Rt. Hon. Uche Okafor, said 50 is just a number because a closer look at Hon. Chief Emeka Aforka reveals he looks more like a 32 year old boy and richly blessed. Okafor therefore prayed that God should continue to bless him all the days of his life.
Meanwhile the Chairman of Orumba-North Local Government Area Hon. Casmir Nwafor, former state assembly member Hon. Sunny Ozobiara who represented Nnewi-South 1 constituency and a former commissioner for information, Sir Paul Nwosu, said Hon. Emeka Aforka is a worthy friend and doesn't have animosity against anybody.
They said that as a House member representing Orumba-North state constituency, Emeka Aforka proved his mettle. They therefore wished him more fruitful years ahead because they believe he has a bigger future before him as a politician. Aforka was also qualified as a very straightforward person, forthright and trustworthy.
On his part, Prof. Obikeze Obiajulu Sunday, prayed to God for greater longevity for Hon. Emeka Aforka. Obikeze said just as he has celebrated his 50th birthday, he will also celebrate his 90th birthday; asking God to bless him with good health and peace of mind, so that his children will be able to enjoy him and he will enjoy them too.
Aforka who apparently didn't expect the kind of crowd he saw in his 50th birthday celebration, said he felt highly blessed and loved to see many of his friends; that 90% of the people he saw at his birthday party were uninvited as some heard about it while others read about it in the social media and decided to surprise him with their presence on his special day.
Aforka who was a former Chairman of Orumba-North Local Government Area, therefore thanked Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo for improving security of the state and restoring night life too which he observed made it abundantly possible for people to come from all parts of Anambra to celebrate as well as rejoice with him on his 50th birthday celebration.
