RAYMOND OZOJI reports
Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo's former Chief Protocol Officer and Deputy Chief of Staff, Hon. Chinedu Nwoye Glamour, says Glamour Homes And Properties is set to redefine Real Estate Business in Nigeria.
The former aide to the Governor who told this journalist that he has returned to his first love which is Real Estate Business after meritoriously serving the state government in Soludo's first tenure, said he has been in property business since 2002 before venturing into government and politics.
Nwoye who is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Glamour Homes And Properties as well as Glamour Global Ventures which are subsidiaries of McGlamour Hospitality Limited, says he is on a mission to leave a lasting legacy in the sands of time in this new phase of his earthly sojourn.
He told this journalist in his Awka office that Glamour Homes And Properties is a brand already being sought after in the Real Estate market as its client base cuts across the entire country with branch offices in Asaba, Lagos, Abuja, Enugu and other parts of Nigeria.
According to him, what is uniquely different about Glamour Homes And Properties is its spirit of partnership and cooperation with other players in the sector. Rather than see colleagues as competitors, Glamour Homes And Properties see them as partners in progress and cooperators.
He said his company has properties in Anambra, Lagos, Abuja and other parts of the country, noting that has been in the business of supervising construction and furnishing of hotels; recruitment of hotel staff and a host of others in the hospitality industry. That he has been into building his own properties before venturing into government.
The hospitality maestro who is also a marketing professional, observed that Real Estate Business in Anambra State is often characterised by land speculations rather than land developments. That people would rather prefer to buy lands and allow them to appreciate overtime for the purposes of reselling them rather than developing them.
He said Glamour Homes And Properties is introducing a new dimension to Real Estate Business in Anambra State such that people would see the urgent need to develop landed properties instead of leaving them undeveloped and idle for too long which he believes may incur revocation as well as withdrawal of right of ownership.
The immediate past State Chief of Protocols and Deputy Chief of Staff, who observed also that Anambra is on the rise, noted that with the legacy projects on ground, Anambra would be much more developed even as he appealed to the citizens to refrain from environmental degradation.
He stressed that people should learn how to maintain a clean healthy environment through desilting drainages and not erecting structures on waterways as such unwholesome attitudes could be inimical and detrimental to the environment.
Although he pointed out that he would gladly respond if he was called to serve the state government again but it would be on part-time basis because he is building a legacy not just for himself but for generations to come as he sees a bigger light at the end of the tunnel in this new chapter of his life.
Nwoye also disclosed that he would not depart from politics as he hopes to contest for elective positions in the near future, stressing that he needs to have his Real Estate Business as his first address and politics as his second address.
The Chairman and CEO of Glamour Homes And Properties who is the national coordinator and convener of Soludo Support Group (SSG), a flagship forerunner support group which mobilised grassroots for Gov. Soludo's first term election, emphasized that his return to Real Estate Business marks a turning point in his career because he believes nature has provided all that is needed for man to explore, excel and enlarge his coast.
