As political permutations begin for the 2027 general elections, Ogboro ward of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State have unanimously passed a vote of confidence and endorsement on Dr. Barr. Uzoma Charles Dioha, saying that his capacity to redeem Ihiala 1 constituency from developmental backwardness and political stagnation isn't in doubt. 


The collective decision to support Dr. Barr. Uzoma Charles Dioha's political ambition stem from the fact that the people say they were sick and tired of poor and inefficient representations. 


They said in their separate endorsement speeches that Dr. Barr. Uzoma Charles Dioha is a  rare breed and doesn't practice segregational politics, which they believe is the trouble with Ihiala 1 state constituency. 


Chief Kenneth Okonkwo, the polling unit leader of 005 Akwa in his endorsement speech noted that Ogboro ward lacks government presence. He pointed out that Ubahuekwem road is in a very catastrophic and chaotic state and required government's immediate intervention. 


Okonkwo believes that successive representatives at the legislature abandoned Ubahuekwem to her fate which is why the community lacks a strategic road to link her to other communities in Ihiala 1 state constituency. 


He therefore emphasized that the need to support Dr. Barr. Uzoma Charles Dioha to represent Ihiala 1 state constituency in the 9th assembly can not be overemphasized because he is a native of Ubahuekwem community and he knows their plights and predicaments especially as it concerns the very deplorable conditions of Ubahuekwem road. 


Also Ihedigbo Kenneth the youth leader of Ogboro ward as well as the woman leader Mrs. Nkiru Odimmega, both attested to Charles Dioha's ability to change the narratives of poor, inefficient and incompetent representation of Ogboro ward in the legislature. 


They believe if given the ticket and necessary supports to enable him actualise his ambition, Charles Dioha would surpass the performances of his predecessors because he is a grassroots person and understands the sufferings and yearnings of grassroots dwellers.
