The Chairman of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo's Reelection Campaign Team in Idemili-South Local Government Area, Chief. Hon. Ikenna Iyiegbu (Ike-Cubana) has stated unequivocally that Idemili-South won't be deceived by those they see as mercantile cum merchandise politicians.
Iyiegbu fondly called Ike-Cubana while addressing a thunderous crowd at the Idemili-South council headquarters Ojoto, during Governor Soludo's campaign rally in the area, stated that Soludo has been tested and trusted and that the entire Idemili-South have passed a vote of confidence and continuity on him because they believe very convincingly that if given another chance in office, he would not just do more for Idemili-South but for the entire state.
Iyiegbu maintained that Anambra state can not be entrusted in the hands of deceivers seeking self-aggrandizement as well as plotting to enrich their political merchandise in the guise of seeking elective offices, adding that November 8th this year would be a watershed in Anambra's political history because they are ready and very prepared to vote Soludo hook-line-sinker and canvass votes for him to ensure his triumph at the polls.
He said that Idemili-South is firm in their resolutions to stand solidly with Soludo because he has indeed proven his mettle as a world-class Professor of Economics liberating and transforming economies of nations as evident in his three years and six months in office as Governor of Anambra State.
Ike-Cubana therefore re-echoed the position of Idemili-South, noting that they have agreed in totality that Governor Soludo would complete his eight years in office and thereafter power would shift to Anambra-Central senatorial district in line with the state's rotational and zoning principles.
He however declared that no single vote would be lost to the opposition in Idemili-South Local Government Area because the campaign team would ensure that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo got all the votes cast in Idemili-South council area.
Responding, Governor Soludo commended the people of Idemili-South for organizing the rally while assuring them also that his second term would be very massive because they would not recognize Anambra state again.
Soludo maintained that the state would not return to Egypt again because there is a new plan and a new social order which would be platforms for sustainable development in the state.
He however pleaded with Idemili-South people and the entire citizenry to come out and vote on the election day in order to break off from the voter apathy in the Southeast, adding that APGA will stand for free, fair and transparent election.
