2027: Campaign Of Calumny Against Peter Obi Dead On Arrival -- Ex-PDP Spokesman

From Isaac Ojo

The former Publicity Secretary for Anambra State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Mr Nnamdi Nwangwu has described the current repeated anti North narratives against the Presidential Candidate of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr Peter Obi as a piece of falsehood.

Mr Nwangwu who is now a member of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) stated this while speaking with journalists in his Uruagu-Nnewi residence.

He said as a matter of fact that the anti North narratives are mere campaign of calumny against the person of Mr Peter Obi which according to him is a dead on arrival project.

The former PDP image maker traced the campaign to the camp of elements who are not favourably disposed to the growing acceptance of Mr Peter Obi across the country.

He pointed out that the people who are peddling the falsehood have discovered that Mr Peter Obi is clean in and out, and as such resorted to falsehood to blackmail a personality who has come to rescue Nigeria and Nigerians from clutches of individuals who never meant well for them.

Mr Nwangwu noted that the presidential hopeful for NDC at different times had interactive sessions with the non indigenes in Anambra State when he was the piloting the affairs of State as a governor.

"Mr Peter Obi did not only visited the Hausa communities to identify with them, he regularly had audience with them at Governor's Lodges in Amawbia and Onitsha to give them a sense of belonging.

"This rare privilege was not limited to the Hausa people alone, other non indigenes living in Anambra State, including the Yoruba community and even persons from other States of the federation are all beneficiaries of the unique privilege of having dinner with Mr Peter Obi at different times during his tenure as the Governor.

"It is during those meetings that Mr Peter Obi normally unfold social welfare packages for the destitute individuals and unaccompanied minors from different parts of the country who faced difficult economic conditions.

"Anambra State has always been the Light of Nation and Mr Peter Obi used the occasion of his administration to really shine the light of the State home and abroad and of course non indigenes living in Anambra State, including the Northern elements, benefitted immensely from the Light." He asserted.

Nwangwu recalled that Mr Obi maintained cordial relations with Northern and Muslim communities in Anambra throughout his eight years in office making it possible for them to benefit from many welfare packages.

The former PDP image maker asserted that all campaigns of calumny against the person of Mr Peter Obi cannot achieve it's desired goal of reducing the growing acceptance and influence of the NDC presidential hopeful.
