I Want To Serve Idemili-North And South -- Ike Cubana

RAYMOND OZOJI reports

Chief Ikenna Iyiegbu (Ike Cubana), Anambra-born billionaire business mogul has officially declared his intention to provide what he described as quality representation for the good people of Idemili-North and South federal constituency.

Making the public declaration at a brief ceremony held in his palatial country home Oba yesterday, Iyiegbu maintained that Idemili-North and South have no representation at the Green Chambers and that the constituency have been underrepresented in the last three years with no visible federal presence.

Iyiegbu who emphasized that he wants to serve Idemili-North and South at the Federal House of Representatives under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), stressed that Idemili-North and South can not continue to wallow in abysmal representation; hence the constituency deserves a more competent person at the National Assembly.

He explained that the reason for his Reps ambition was to help his people in Idemili-North and South out of the current political stagnation, infrastructural backwardness and ecological problems, adding that the overall objective was to move the constituency forward, if given the mandate.

He said Idemili-North and South have had representatives from other political parties with no tangible results, pointing out that the dividends of democracy have eluded the people for far too long.

Iyiegbu who reinforced his position that he was going to the Federal House of Representatives to attract federal presence to Idemili-North and South, expressed hope that he would clinch APGA ticket in the forthcoming primaries.

He said as a private person, he has been involved in community development and other humanitarian services.

According to him, the Iyiegbu dynasty has constructed over six kilometers of roads, renovated Merchant of Light School, built churches, health facilities and a host of others in Oba community; noting that his philanthropic gestures cuts across the entire Idemili-North and South local government areas.

He said he wants to be given a chance to use the platform of the Green Chambers to expand his services to humanity, stressing that he has the strength, capacity and technical know-how to impact positively on Idemili-North and South federal constituency.
