The Spiritual Head of Soul Revival Outreach Nnewi, in Nnewi North LGA of Anambra State, Prophet Ikechukwu Uzukwu has called on President Ahmed Tinubu to concentrate on giving good governance to Nigerians rather than expending energies on destruction of opposition.
Prophet Uzukwu made this call on Sunday in his church office.
He said it's apparently clear that the regime of the day is having hands in the destruction of opposition political parties just because of 2027 general elections.
Prophet Uzukwu however warned that without a strong opposition, the government of the day will not be able to deliver on it's election promises since it's only the people in opposition that can easily detect faults.
"The more other political parties are being destroyed, the more the impetus to form a mega political opposition which may have the capacity to swallow up the government of the day.
"What makes a good leader is the ability to make the people happy, and make things easier for the generality of the people, with that, there wouldn't be any need for the government in power to be afraid his own shadows.
"If Tinubu is doing well now, he should be sure of getting a 'thank you' votes in 2027 but I must state that whoever that is afraid of election is not doing well. It's only sycophants that will be praising such non performers.
Prophet Uzukwu while commenting on insurgency and increased insecurity across the country said, "Insurgency is not just beginning today, when a minute problem is not solved with dispatch, it will naturally become a monster capable of consuming everyone. It's better to know where the devil is hiding than doing a guess work.
"It's better to fish out the insurgents in government circle, military and civilians, insurgency is growing because the culprits are not made to face the music for their actions that's why things are moving from bad to worse just like corruption is growing in the country
"If Tinubu is afraid of fighting insurgents and insurgency, why did he contest for presidency, he swore oath to protect lives and properties of Nigerians, is he afraid of death. The two options available to him is either he fights to die or die fighting.
"Now, he is protecting himself and his political aspiration for second term in office and leave Nigerians die wantonly on daily basis in the hands of blood sucking terrorists.
"Whatever that goes round, comes around, this government is just witnessing the beginning of the security challenges, more problems and challenges will continue to erupt from now till the 2027 general elections are done with.
Anambra Prophet noted that it was the same approach that was employed by All Progressives Congress (APC) to remove former President Goodluck Jonathan, a very good man from office.
He pointed out that the former president left office without pointing accusing fingers at anyone inspite of the fact that he had reasons to fight because the election that removed him was fraught with fraudulent activities.
"President Jonathan left quietly and handed over everything to God, today, God has exonerated him, it was the same United States of America (USA), Great Britain and insurgents that were used to dispose him from presidency. Today, history is repeating itself against President Tinubu," he recounted.
Prophet Uzukwu however stressed the need for the incumbent president to go into serious prayers to prevent future complex problems and calamities, noting that if he fails to do that, it would get to a time that there would fire on the mountain.
"There are two options for President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, it's either he forget his 2027 reelection ambition or ask God to assist him and fight like a wounded lion, my prayer is that he would choose the second option.
"2027 general elections would be business as usual, but it will not be a child's play, the next election would be President Tinubu versus Military Generals both serving and retired, Anambra Prophet insisted.
He appealed to all Nigerians to call on God for devine intervention because of the simple fact that next general elections would be a time bomb, which if allowed to explode would be bad for the government.
The Spiritual Head of Soul Revival Outreach Nnewi while commenting on the chances of the former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in 2027 said if he emerged victorious, Nigeria will be better.
"Atiku has a good heart, and equally has good plans, for Nigeria and Nigerians, if he becomes the president, the only obstacle to the realization of his presidential ambition are his Northern people. He would do well to reach out to them and convince them.
"For Mr Peter Obi, if he wants to continue to be politically relevant in Nigeria, he should humble himself and accept the Vice President's slot, whoever that is telling him that he would win the presidential election is just deceiving him, there is nothing like Igbo Presidency in Nigeria for now," he asserted.
Prophet Uzukwu while commenting on the reelection of Prof Charles Soludo as Anambra State governor, noted that he was not surprised about the election results which according to reemphasize the fact that All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is still the pride of Ndigbo.
"APGA is the only political party that won elections in certain places even when the party does not have a candidate in such places. If any of presidential aspirants would purse his aspiration on APGA platform or work with Ndigbo towards the project, it will be a clean sweep for such person." Anambra Prophet pointed out.
He also appealed to the Abia State Governor, Alex Otti not to be moved by any political threat but should remain focused and continue his good works for his people.
Prophet Uzukwu however raised the alarm that there would be a problem in Labour Party (LP) soon that may overwhelm the Abia State Governor, noting that he would do well to earnestly pray before taking decision.
"The problem would be sponsored by those who wants to grab power by hook or crook in Abia State, he should pray for sound health, strength and God's wisdom. I thank and congratulated him for what he been able to do for his people. May God bless him," he concluded.
