Emma Nwachukwu Will Go To Senate -- Soludo

RAYMOND OZOJI reports

Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has declared that Chief Emmanuel Chibuzor Nwachukwu (Onodugo) candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the August 16th Anambra-South senatorial bye-election, will go to the Senate to represent Anambra-South senatorial zone.

Soludo who made the declarative statement at Ekwulobia Township Stadium Aguata Local Government Area during the campaign flag-off of the party's senatorial candidate cum Anambra-South second term endorsement mega rally for the governor and his deputy at the weekend, said Onodugo is a formidable candidate and best suited for the job.

Soludo revealed that Onodugo is an accountant with multiple professional degrees, a banker, an oil and gas expert, an investment analyst, a consultant and a host of other things.

He said that the party will campaign vigorously for him in every village and every ward in the seven local government areas of Anambra-South senatorial district to ensure that Onodugo is elected overwhelmingly on the 16th of August this year.

The governor therefore appealed to the people of Anambra-South to vote massively for Emmanuel Chibuzor Nwachukwu (Onodugo) to enable him and the incoming senator have synergy so that the transformations in the state will continue non-stop.

The governor reiterated that if elected into the Senate, Chief Emmanuel Chibuzor Nwachukwu (Onodugo) will join the APGA caucus in the national assembly to pursue the APGA policy of working with the government at the centre.

The governor however recalled that six years ago, APGA made the greatest mistake by giving somebody people did not like ticket to run on the platform of the party. He said for the first time in Anambra State, APGA came a distant 4th position in a national election because the party fielded a wrong person.

He said Nnewi-South is being given another chance with Chief Emmanuel Chibuzor Nwachukwu (Onodugo) and expressed optimism that Onodugo will win with a landslide victory.
