ARTMA Commends Soludo For Construction Of Flyover Bridge At Aroma Awka

RAYMOND OZOJI reports

The Anambra State Road Traffic Management Agency (ARTMA) has commended Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo for the construction of a flyover bridge at the very busy Aroma junction in the state capital Awka.

Making the commendations, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ARTMA Engr. Okonkwo Emeka-Konti, described the newly constructed flyover bridge as a welcome development because it would help to decongest traffic in the very busy area and equally make their jobs easier.

Okonkwo explained that the bridge connected Ifite-Awka, Zik avenue and other parts of the capital city thereby making it a memorable experience for motorists and road users to navigate through the ever busy Aroma junction.

Apart from commending the governor, the ARTMA MD also stressed the dire need for motorists to obey traffic lights especially the traffic lights close to the new flyover bridge to avoid infractions.

He equally cautioned against one-way driving or driving against traffic, saying that tricycle operators (Keke drivers) who disobeyed traffic rules and regulations or drove against traffic will have their tricycles impounded for seven days with no option of fine after which the owner would come and collect it free of charge.

The ARTMA boss who reiterated the need to obey traffic lights at the new flyover bridge Aroma junction Awka, maintained that ARTMA officials would redouble their efforts in ensuring sanity and orderliness on Anambra roads.
