Agunechemba Is Determined To Fight Crime In Anambra -- Agency

Anambra state security service known as Agunechemba has made it categorically clear that it is determined to fight crime to standstill in the state whether criminals like it or not. 


The agency has also made it abundantly clear that Anambra state is a no-go area for outlaws and criminal elements because the state would no longer tolerate any form of criminalities.


Speaking to newsmen at the federal secretariat Awka shortly after representing Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo's special adviser on community security Chief Ken Emeakayi at the NDLEA 2026 Commemoration of World Drug Day, administrative head of Agunechemba, Chief Ezenduka Chike Samuel, said Agunechemba is collaborating with other security agencies to fight crime and criminality in the state; that nothing would be spared until the war is won completely. 


On the issue of whether Agunechemba security operatives should be using AK47 rifle in their war against criminals as proposed in a recent security summit held at the Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre Awka, Ezenduka reiterated that Agunechemba is working with other security agencies to fight crimes in the state and that it is within the purview of the appropriate authorities to approve the kind of rifles they are to operate with. 


The Agunechemba administrative head however maintained that Agunechemba has its modus operandi as it concerns dealing ruthlessly with criminals, stressing that Agunechemba is diligently using the light arms approved for it to fight crimes head-on. 


He therefore emphasized that while stakeholders make their suggestions regarding empowering Agunechemba security operatives with more sophisticated logistics, the agency is collaborating effectively with other security agencies to fight crimes with the vigor and vitality it deserves because Anambra, according to him, is a no-go area for criminal elements.
