Agbodike To Empower Ihiala Youths With Federal Jobs

RAYMOND OZOJI reports

The member representing Ihiala federal constituency of Anambra State at the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Paschal Arinzechukwu Agbodike PhD and candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the January 16, 2027 national assembly elections, has hinted that he would empower not less than 500 youths of Ihiala Local Government Area with federal jobs in his second term.

Agbodike who gave the hint at the APGA regional headquarters Awka shortly after receiving his certificate of return, said his second term at the national assembly would be 60% human capital development and 40% physical infrastructure such that youths of Ihiala federal constituency would be given priority attention, adding that at the end of his tenure no Ihiala youth would be jobless.

He explained that the aim of his emphasis on youths was to empower them with jobs from federal government agencies and establishments so they would inturn replicate same in their respective families and beyond inorder to break the chain of poverty and joblessness in the area.

Agbodike whose completed and ongoing projects and programmes adorned the nooks and crannies of Ihiala Local Government Area, maintained that his first term at the National Assembly was a tip of the iceberg because his second term would spring bigger surprises for his constituents.

He said, " My second term shall be 60% human capital development and 40% infrastructure. I want to begin to empower individuals because if you empower a person from a family, that person can empower numerous others. That person can earn a living and build a house and also support education in his place. "

Although he reaffirmed his commitment to building more classroom blocks for schools and other critical infrastructures in the constituency but reiterated that human capital development would receive greater attention because he would dedicate his time to traverse federal government ministries, agencies and parastatals to get the opportunities for Ihiala people.

According to him, education, healthcare services and other sectors would equally receive quality attention, emphasizing that the opportunities he would attract from the National Assembly would also be extended to other parts of Anambra State even as he pointed out that such opportunities would not be done with Ihiala federal constituency funds as he believed that any National Assembly member who knows his onion would attract lots of viable opportunities to his home state and constituency that have absolutely nothing to do with constituency funds.

Agbodike who is the National Assembly committee chairman on Small and Medium Scale Enterprises, the caucus leader of APGA House of Representatives,  member of the ECOWAS parliament, Secretary of the Southern Nigeria Caucus House of Representatives,, Secretary of the Anambra State Legislative Caucus of the National Assembly, to mention a few, said Ihiala people have vowed to return him for a second term in office and that they would make no mistakes about it because he hasn't fallen short of their expectations.

The former Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly told journalists that the January 16 national assembly elections would be smooth in Ihiala federal constituency because the people know who they want to return to the National Assembly and there is absolutely no doubt that he would perform more than their expectations.
